Save the date!

The 2018 Orcas Gathering shall be taking place from Wednesday, August 15th through Sunday, August 19th. Enjoy some time apart from the home and work scene. Experience the beautiful views of the Olympic Mountains and Hood Canal, the indoor and outdoor opportunities to hang out and play with people you haven't seen in ages and maybe some you just saw last week. There will be art and nature activities for you and your kids, not necessarily at the same time, including swimming, hiking, art, music, talking, rowdy board games, being quiet - all these things are available for you in this beautiful almost-coastal setting.

What will we be doing?

Gatherings include many artistic and outdoor family activities. Programs will include arts, discussion, and recreation. Instructors shall be on hand for craft instruction and inspiration. Past programs have included letterboxing, luminaria, T-shirt silk screening, henna tattooing, beading, rock painting, puppet shows, musical performances, a children's theatrical performance, and more. We encourage all participants to share their knowledge and enthusiasm.

What will it cost?

Adults

  • 4 nights w/ 12 meals $270
  • 3 nights w/ 9 meals $220
  • 2 nights w/ 6 meals $160
  • 1 night w/ 3 meals $110
  • Youth 12-16 years are 3/4 of adult price
  • Children 3-11 are 1/2 of adult price. Children under 2 are free.
  • $20 per night surcharge for a private room.
  • Day rate (includes lunch & dinner) Adults $50, Kids/youth $40.

No deposit refunds after July 10 unless we can fill the space with someone else.  Early Registration (must be received by May 31 with $100 per adult deposit). Lodging at the conference center may be more limited than in previous years. Early registration guarantees conference center lodging. Later registration, space permitting, must be received by July 10th with a deposit.

What do you get?

Accommodations include a room and bed cleaned daily, 3 square meals a day served by an enthusiastic camp staff (with vegetarian and special dietary needs provided), and spaces for social gathering, work, and play (and wireless internet)!

How does one register?

We have limited housing available so we urge you to register early, especially if you want a single room. You will also notice that the price per night gets less expensive the longer you stay. If you aren't sure whether you'll be able to attend, go ahead and register anyway. If you find you can't come, we'll return your money, as long as you let us know before July 10th. If money is an issue, go ahead and register and make a request for financial aid. Please download and return the completed registration form (pdf) and include a $100 deposit per adult. The deposit is refundable if we hear from you before August 7th, 2017. The balance needs to be paid in full by August 12th. Note: If you plan to drop in for the day, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
